The best provision

*The way one family used our ‘Alhamdulillah’: Gratitude in light of the Qur’an and Sunnah Resource*

“Continuing last year’s Ramadan theme on gratitude, we focused on the following  topic from Ayeina’s  ‘#Alhamdulillah For Series (A Gratitude Journal for Muslims)’: Alhamdulillah for Islam“.

We discussed Allah’s beautiful names الرَّزَّاق (ArRazzaaq) and الوَدُود (alWadood) in light of this, with particular emphasis on the following hadeeth:

“Allah gives the worldly provision to those whom He loves as well as whom He does not love, but He will not give the religion except to those whom He loves; so whoever Allah has guided to the correct religion, then He Has loved him.”

Imam Ahmad (3490), authenticated by Imam Al-Albani (السلسلة الصحيحة  2714)

We further discussed the provision for the believers in the Hereafter: Jannah, by looking at the explanation of the following ayaat:

Surah at Talaq:11

…And whosoever believes in Allah and performs righteous deeds, He will admit him into Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever. Allah has indeed granted for him an excellent provision

Surah asSaffat: 41

38. Verily, you are going to taste the painful torment; 39. And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do. 40. ُExcept the chosen servants of Allah. 41. For them there will be a known provision, 42. Fruits; and they shall be honored, 43. In the Gardens of Delight, 44. Facing one another on thrones. 45. Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine, 46. White, delicious to the drinkers. 47. Neither will they have Ghawl from that nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 48. And beside them will be Qasirat-At-Tarf with wide and beautiful eyes. 49. (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved.

Surah Saad: 54

49. This is a Reminder. And verily, for those who have Taqwa is a good final return. 50. `Adn Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be opened for them. 51. Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 52. And beside them will be Qasirat-at-Tarf, (and) of equal ages. 53. This it is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 54. (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our provision which will never finish.

Surah Ghaafir: 40

“Whoever does an evil deed, will not be requited except the like thereof; and whosoever does a righteous deed, whether male or female and is a true believer, such will enter Paradise, where they will be provided therein without limit.”

Finally, using the page ‘The people of Paradise will say الحمد لله’ from the ‘Alhamdulillah’: Gratitude in light of the Qur’an and Sunnah Resource, the children made posters depicting what they hope for in Jannah, may Allaah enter us into it without reckoning. Aameen.”
